Have you ever had the feelings of a classmates' passing?

What does a cycle stand serve? [19 Nov 2009|05:34am]

I've never seen a cycle propped up on a stool like structure before.

world's ugliest buildings [16 Nov 2009|05:43am]
[ mood | blah ]

Personally, I think only the picnic basket is the only one out of place.

I wore my Samantha Newark T- to meditation... and only Tom was curious who she was. I told him Jem and he was clueless.
*sigh* is the pretty pink pop princess forgotten?

Is this in a fancy building?

It looks more like a set of restaurant doors from the dining area to the kitchen than an elevator.
What kind of building do you think this is?

I used Vanessa's eye-of-the-beholder yesterday. [12 Nov 2009|05:28am]
[ mood | accomplished ]

It's fun using one of those Blackberry type thingys!

Speaker looks like she's either lost for words... or is a liar (and those who know about this know what I'm talking about.)
Definitely not professional to me. I wouldn't hire her as a public speaker.

My classmate wonders, "why American soldiers are still being blown up, maimed, and killed here in Iraq, but no one back home could even seem to care. I guess the American attention span can only handle one war at a time. Welcome to Iraq, the Forgotten War.

Too bad Kennedy didn't win the election, but I got a message on my phone from her. It's like getting a personal call from Hilary or Obama.
Too bad we didn't get to talk. Maybe in the future.

And to think I got these at a discount store.

I've gotten a lot of attention for these shoes. And to think I bought them at Marshall's of all places for $30 or $40!

Are we all switching to Coke now? [28 Oct 2009|05:47pm]
[ mood | shocked ]

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Price-to-PepsiCo-for-Not-law-3214509113.html?x=0&.v=1
Cherry flavored colas don't matter as far as brand is concerned, but for the straight cola, it's Pepsi definitely over Coke.

Isn't it sad when rock stars have to use cigarettes to get back in the picture?

Both of those men almost died from cigs.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
Previews got me on this one. It was not as good as the previews made the movie out to be. The story was complete, but it just didn't interest me.
Not sure it's popular enough to have a sequel.

my new style [24 Oct 2009|11:12pm]
Spent maybe half a day wiping walls and desk surfaces.
Especially when you take pride knowing you did work that normally only third world immigrants would take. Gives ya that spark of integrity.

Reminds me of the back of ZZ Top's "Afterburner" album. So 1985ish.

Transformers is available on DVD now.
Unfortunately it's not any better or worse than the original movie:

There's the opening scene, the giant planet Unicron with an even larger solar flare or whatever in the background.

I got mu flu shot Monday
and didn't feel it. I guess the blood donation pokes in a more sensitive spot.

Where the Wild Things Are
All I remember is the kid's name was Max. I didn't like this movie. I looked like a bunch of lessons for kids in one theme of a movie.
I fell asleep during bits of it. The borefest to me may be appealing to others, but it's like listening to Meredith Monk's album. You can't appreciate it from the casual standpoint.

And to think JemCon isn't even a month old yet.

Missed resident luncheon because teacher was helping me. Oh well, I got to pick up my Monsters vs. Aliens DVD.
I just loved the attention teach was giving me.

Why does it seem 4 was the most popular?

Was it the non-linearity compared to the other Ultimas? Personally, I find this non-linearity to be very frustrating.

Fish doesn't look too happy. Anyone understand the meaning of the pic or what is going on?

Will Michael Jackson be the most popular Halloween costume this year? [06 Oct 2009|06:19am]
[ mood | curious ]

Do you think the detail is worth the price on some of these?
Regarding G.I. Joe costumes, why is Duke the most popular of all characters?

I wonder what goes on in a druggies mind while meditating.
Young man held his arms out like a bird during walking meditation. His eyes were closed like he was sleepwalking. If he really thought he could fly...

failure to understand failure

Not sure I understood what is happening or how this is a failure pic.
However, I would not want to be caught driving around in it.

K.D. Lang [28 Sep 2009|07:48pm]
[ mood | surprised ]
[ music | Star Wars by Meco in 1977 ]

or at least a tribute:

My, how 7 years changes things... I saw you at the reunion. ;)

Speaking of classmates, I am now listening to Meco... I believe the cantina bit is what Mrs. Eddings/Giesler had us dance to in grade school.
Speaking of Giesler, I wonder if old Bio Bob is smokin' stogies at the Elk Club. Wasn't Jack Handley AKA Rolando Carillo in the Liberator newsletter our senior year at Central?

I brought my Fresh Aire 5 cassette home... only to find out I had it in CD:

*sigh* when was the last time I took tapes to work?

Please don't forget to save lives.
Give the gift of life.
Thanks and God bless.

Don't lose your head [25 Sep 2009|05:59am]
[ mood | curious ]

So we look like we have stairs or an unfinished house... or both. It also looks like the person's head got sucked up in the white shaft of light.

Can anyone else see the sense of beauty of this picture?

What do you think is happening, is he flying or falling?

The brain pattern that causes singers to turn to God. [22 Sep 2009|05:26am]
[ mood | surprised ]
[ music | Vanity "Skin on Skin" (1986) ]

Have you ever wondered how became http://www.denisematthews.com/ . Is it all the drugs?

Bring a friend to church day
So Josh invited me to that "little church on the hill." Made me think I was in another state when I looked inside. Makes me think what my uncle Mark is doing.
I wonder if my aunt Sherry plays music like that. Of course I've only heard her play Christmas carols.
The lyrics are printed on two computer screens, one on each side in front of the church for everyone to see. Is that... natural? Makes me feel like we're in disguise in a hi-tech place for a movie.
What I remember most is to be content with who you marry. Don't be kicked out to the curb with an alimony and heartbroken kids. Hopefully, this message makes people take marriage more seriously.
When I left, I told Josh the place felt like a ski resort with everyone knowing one another. He agreed with the latter.

9 is not a regrettable movie. I would have bought this on DVD except the ending was too basic and sappy. With only 80 minutes, this movie was too rushed. There could have been so much more to it.
7 was my favorite. Jennifer Connelly was a winner in Labyrinth and she's a winner here. Loved her fighting spirit and her ability to fight.

Anyone know the association with the Jewish and magenta, and derbys?

Gates gettin' what he deserves?

Feel free to use this on any (Apple) community you want. Not sure if this is an actual expression caught in the act, or a requested pose for the camera.

We've all moved. [16 Sep 2009|05:41am]
[ mood | blah ]

No more music at work. *sigh*

Taking a walk an hour later
At least it was cooler though darker outside.

Meditation
Seeing Susan, Dan, and Sharif take their Level 1 only makes me feel guilty especially since they came to the shrine after I did. Gotta go for the January 15th Level 1 weekend.

Private Selection coupons
Went grocery shopping yesterday. Did it for $20 and a penny. Private Selection clam chowder is not that good. I guess some things should remain private.
Aren't Private Selection and Kroger both sub-companies of Fry's?

rollerskating
Not made in the 80's but the color gives the feel of being back in that time:

I don't think the shape is 80's fashion, and this isn't what I originally planned, but still, I'm content.

music madness [10 Sep 2009|05:46am]
[ mood | amused ]

See ? It looks like a pirate guitar. Doesn't quite match , but hey, they're rock stars, right?

In other music business, I actually thought this was Jessica Simpson:

I could see that as an excited pose of her (without makeup). It's really the tennis teen Melanie Oudin.
Speaking of the real Jessica however,

I wonder what miffed the cook. This was for a charity.

A dog's old trick or new? [08 Sep 2009|11:08am]
[ mood | surprised ]

Is this even possible or this is a 'shop?

Sorry I didn't post in time to wish everyone a wonderful Labor Day. Was too busy.
Did 2 weight workouts, cardio and stretching.
Then downloaded the latest Java update.
Cleaned house and did laundry.

Took pictures of my Mandala's yesterday:

This one reminds me of a warm sunny day in the park.

That reminds me of 80's graffiti on a wall like Phil Keaggy's "Getting Closer" album from 1985:

Shame that album is out of print, I'd snatch it on CD if it became re-released again. It's good to hear the original Nissi label pressed cassette though.

Group art is not available to share because it's at the shrine. We painted with what we thought of
the 4 elements:
pacify
enrich
magnetism
destroy

Personally, I thought we did some good art ourselves.

roller skating
Haven't done it since grade school and it felt like Oregon. Dang, what you love comes back fast.

If Hilary made office, would there be a story about her hair?
